The City of Burnside Library is recognised for the extent of its input into the cultural wealth of the community.
Burnside Library holds an extensive collection of books, maps, original documents, photographs, pictures, and artifacts relating to the history of the Burnside council area.
School visits and informal tours of the Local History Collection are offered. For further details please contact the Library.
The Burnside Historical Society Inc. is a community group comprising people with an interest in Burnside's history.
Each month a guest speaker presents a talk on some aspect of Burnside's or South Australia's history, and from time to time outings to areas of historical interest are arranged for members.
Burnside Historical Society meetings are held in the Burnside Community Centre, corner Portrush Road and Fisher Street, Tusmore (car park and entrance off Fisher Street) at 7.30 pm on the third Monday of the month, unless an alternative venue is notified.
Admission is free, including supper. Visitors are most welcome.
