This Society was formed to represent watercolourists and to promote the appreciation and practice of watercolours. Among the works on display you will see some of the best watercolour art to be seen in SA. If you are interested in seeing a wide breadth of styles and approaches then this is an exhibition that will delight and entertain.
The South Australian Watercolour Society (SAWS) was founded in May 2012. Their mission is “to promote the practice and enjoyment of watercolours”. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in watercolour painting and many of SA’s top artists are included in their ranks. The Society is non-restrictive and they welcome novices and accomplished artists alike.
The group conduct classes and demonstrations and members regularly take part in exhibitions, art competitions and events. This exhibition will be a wonderful variety of work by skilled members, depicting a vast array of work which represents how diverse the medium of watercolours can be.
