Wandering Dogs
- Contact City of Burnside on (08) 8366 4239 if you find a dog wandering.
- Council officers will attempt to pick up wandering dogs as soon as possible after notification.
- Once the dog has been picked up, Council will attempt to locate the owner (should the dog have a disc). If the owner is located then they are returned and an expiation notice may be issued. If the owner is not home a card is left in their letterbox and dog is taken to All Pets Boarding Village located at 92 Mount Barker Road, Glen Osmond, Ph (08) 8379 1995.
- If the owner cannot be located then dog is taken to All Pets Boarding Village. The dog will remain there between 3-4 days. If unclaimed, the dog will be transferred to the Animal Welfare League, 11 Cormack Road, Wingfield, Ph (08) 8268 4188.
- Before an impounded dog can be released, proof of ownership and payment is required to All Pets Boarding and Animal Welfare League.
Lost Dogs
- Should your dog go missing you should contact the Council on (08) 8366 4239 and report it. Council holds onto the information should someone pick up the dog.
