The City of Burnside is strongly committed to engaging the local community in its decision making process.

Community consultation is a key tool in engaging the community, understanding the community's needs, expectations and opinions, providing information, and improving Council's research and business performance.

Burnside Council has a Community Engagement Policy that aims to achieve a best practice standard on all community consultation issues and is based on the internationally recognised International Association Public Participation (IAP2) framework.
