Community Garden- Chapel Street
With support from the City of Burnside Council, Chapel Street Community Garden (CSCG) officially opened in May 2012 and is run by a passionate group of community members. CSCG promotes the growing of fresh, organic produce in a community setting.
The award winning Chapel Street Community Garden (CSCG) is looking luscious with plots enjoying the rainy weather. Having recently recieved the Parks and Leisure Australia State Award for 'Inclusive and Connected Communities,' the garden is looking forward to more community orientated projects in the future. Look out for new works of art popping up in the garden including mosaic tap bowls by Uniting Communitys and Magil Lodge residents and seating by the Morialta Unting Church Men's Shed.
Members of the public are warmly invited to join the community at monthly open days on the third Saturday of each month. This is an opportunity to meet the community, help out in the garden and find out more about how to get involved. Upcoming dates and times are (pending weather);
- Saturday 15 June from 1-3pm
- Saturday 20 July 9.30-11.30am
- Saturday 17 August 1-3pm
Any members of the public who are interested in being part of the community garden's success are encouraged to contact CSCG at 8331 9344 (Mon-Wed 9-3:30) or email@example.com
