Rainwater Tanks
Rebates of up to $1000 are available for the purchase and plumbing of a rainwater tank into your home from the State and Federal Government.
The Federal Government also has grants available for Schools.
HOME Retrofit Program
The H2OME Retrofit Program has been introduced by the State Government to assist housholds to save water and money in and around their homes. For full details of the program please visit the SA Water website.
Solar Hot Water
Rebates of between $500 and $1000 are available for the installation of solar hot water systems from both the State and Federal Governments. Both rebates schemes are means tested.
Solar Panels
The Solar Homes and Communities Plan closed on 9 June 2009.
The Government has introduced the Solar Credits scheme to assist with the upfront costs of small-scale renewable energy systems, including solar, wind and hydro systems, installed from 9 June 2009.
Rebates have been available for schools, however the National Solar Schools Program has been temporarily suspended until mid 2011.
Residential Energy Efficiency Scheme
The Residential Energy Efficiency Scheme (REES) has been introduced by the State Government to assist householders (both home owners and tenants) to save energy and reduce their power bills, as well as help the environment.
