Group Manager Operations and Environment (ref no 17/17)

The Group Manager Operations and Environment will lead a significant portfolio including Depot Operations, Open Space, Recreation, Environment, and City Services. The Operations and Environment Team has recently completed a digital transformation of operational processes, and the Team needs a proven leader with a progressive business mindset.  Your ability to build upon a data driven approach and ability to inspire a workforce around common organisational goals will help you thrive in this position.  Your focus on long term strategic and proactive outcomes while ensuring the delivery of Council’s commitments to the community will also help you succeed in this role.

In addition to the above criteria, we are seeking strategic and innovative thinkers, who are ready to bring their unique approach to complement our forward thinking and ‘one-team’ focussed Leadership team. You will be highly attuned to public perception and politically astute with a well-developed understanding of community expectations.

Your proven leadership experience will be supported by tertiary qualifications, further learning or extensive management experience at a senior level. These positions are offered as a 5-year contract and a competitive remuneration package will be awarded to the successful applicants.
