An approval for a six storey residential and commercial building at 162 Fullarton Road, Dulwich, was granted by the (then) Development Assessment Commission (DAC) in 2015.  Demolition work has been undertaken and construction is to commence on 9 June 2018.

In order to facilitate an orderly build, for at least the next six months, part of the road reserves adjacent the site will be occupied for site offices and scaffolding.  The most significant impact will be on Swaine Avenue.  Because of the space requirement, Swaine Avenue will be reduced to one way traffic only (eastbound traffic).  At some times, Swaine Avenue will be completely closed to allow for the delivery by crane, of precast panels and structural steel.

Pedestrian movement on the southern side of Swaine Avenue will be maintained as the site offices will be established above ground level, meaning pedestrians will still be able to use the footpath.  This practice is common place for multi storey buildings in the city.
