I was a primary and high school art educator in Canada for 15 years before moving to Australia. Life here has given me a new perspective and a chance to take my love of art in a new and different direction.
One of my own teachers provided me with a broad experience in visual art, and as a result, I am still love and work in a variety of styles and media. My art involves painting, printmaking, mixed media and photography. A favourite summer pastime is walking on the beach or in the park to collect nature’s treasures. Sometimes these natural found materials such as feathers and leaves are incorporated into the artwork. I am most drawn to the aspects of experimentation and exploration in the creative process.
In the past couple of years, I have also started jewellery making. Each pendant or earring is hand printed with a block print design on natural leather. I strive to handcraft each piece to create unique accessories for those who desire something different.
I sincerely hope you will enjoy what I have brought to Pepper Street Art Centre.
