The Volunteer's role is to assist with the delivery and pickup of library books and materials to older adults in their own homes and residential facilities.

Required:

  • Volunteers required to assist for weekly Friday shift
  • Current clearances - Police check and Working With Children Check

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the delivery and pick up of library books and materials to ensure an efficient and effective delivery service.
  • Maintain borrowing information as required.
  • Deliver and pick up books on route
  • Maintain the work area in a clean and tidy manner
  • Wear appropriate neat casual clothing
  • Promote and project Council's commitment as Customer First organisation
  • Adhere to Customer Service standards, EO principles and WHS policies

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Hi degree of personal integrity and deal with matters confidentially
  • Flexible work approach 
  • Community minded and engaging
  • Long term volunteers
