For any new dog registration, a registration form can either be sent to your address, downloaded below, or collected from City of Burnside Civic Centre.

Registration requirements

At 3 months of age dogs are required to be registered.

Those dogs who were registered in 2015/16 will receive a renewal notice for 2016/17 including the new disc/tag (this year the colour is red). However, your dog will not be registered until payment is received. 

Payment options

Payment can be made in a number of ways which include:

  • Online Payment
  • sending in a cheque with appropriate details included on the back
  • by phone to pay by credit card.

Due Date

The due date to pay dog registration fees is 31 August 2016. A $10 late fee will be incurred from 1 September 2016, should payment not be received by the due date. The dog registration renewal is a first and final notice.

Half Price Registration applies from 1 January 2017 to 31 May 2017 for any new dogs registered with Burnside Council.

  • Pensioner/State card holders 50%
  • Desexed 40%
  • Microchipped 10%
