The 2025/26 Draft Annual Business Plan and Budget and Draft Long Term Financial Plan are currently open for community consultation, and Council welcomes your feedback until the consultation closes on Friday 16 May.

As part of this engagement process, the City of Burnside will be hosting a drop-in session at the Burnside Civic Centre on Wednesday 14 May from 6 pm – 8 pm. This drop-in session is designed to provide you with the opportunity to ask our staff questions one-on-one and learn further information about the budget. You will also have a chance to fill out the engagement survey during the session.

This drop-in session will provide a personalised approach for staff to provide explanations and answer your questions, supporting you to make an informed response to the consultation. Some of the varying elements of interest will include:

  • The proposed rate increase and how it is calculated;
  • Debt management;
  • Budget repair process; and
  • Capital and operating projects.

The drop-in session will cater for these interests where staff can assist with questions. It also provides you with a longer and more convenient timeframe to attend after work, dinner or other personal commitments.

Please join our staff for this interactive drop-in session where you can receive personalised details about the budget process, have your questions answered and have your say on the 2025/26 Draft Annual Business Plan and Budget and Draft Long Term Financial Plan.
