The journalist contacted the City of Burnside with the following enquiry:

Basically, from what I understand, development assessment responsibility was with City of Burnside but the govt has intervened and is giving the decision to SCAP.

I am just wondering if Council has a statement regarding this decision, whether Council was consulted on this before Champion made the decision to appoint SCAP, and any other comments regarding this new development in the redevelopment.

The City of Burnside understands Burnside Hospital has a critical role to play in supporting the health and wellbeing of residents across the Adelaide metropolitan region, now and in the future. Council respects the decision of the State Government in this matter.
