The journalist contacted the City of Burnside seeking a statement about the Special Meeting of Council scheduled for Tuesday 15 July 2025.

Statement attributed for Mayor Anne Monceaux:

It is unfortunate that a quorum was not reached for the Special Council Meeting that was scheduled before the Ordinary Meeting of Council on Tuesday 15 July.

While the business of the Ordinary Council Meeting was completed efficiently, the Special Council Meeting has been rescheduled to 6.30 pm Tuesday 19 August.
